Hexatonic scales on the fretboard

Six notes. Every one below is a seven-note scale with one note pulled out, or a five-note scale with one note added. That is how you learn them: as edits to shapes you already own, not as new shapes.

How to practice these

Pick one key per week. Play the major pentatonic shape you know, then add the 4th. Run it over a I–IV–V loop and listen for what the 4th does over each chord. Then do the same on the minor side with the 2nd. Do not learn all six scales at once; two cover 90% of what you play in a set.
